Our software utilizes a 3-d scan to compute the minimum burden. This is critical to explosive charge selection, as the explosives shoot radially from the hole and the minimum burden is not necessarily directly in front of the hole as measured by a 2-d profiler.
In addition, 3-dimensional borehole path probing data is merged to compute the burden from the actual drilled hole path, giving a complete, accurate burden measurement.
